So far I've found 3 AM stations supposedly broadcasting IBOC (WQAM, WMYM and WAQI) but my JVC car stereo can't seem to lock onto the digital. FM is no problem, though. Are any of the stations actually broadcasting HD at the moment?

Yeah, they're on Power's HD-3 channel. It sounds better than the AM signal, but has the sort of raspy, metallic quality one hears on a webstream. On 560 the radio displays the calls but the HD indicator just blinks meaning there is IBOC present but it's only receiving analog. Same holds true for the other stations.

I really used to love listenning to WQAM, WIOD and other local AM talk stations. But ever since I purchase SIRUS Sat Radio 2 yrs ago, it is really hard to go back because the quality of signal on Satellite is too perfect compared to all the noise and interferance of AM Radio. At this point in my life, I have no interest in spending money for local HD since I can take the Satellite anywhere I go and I know the stations I want to listen too.

At least now WQAM can run a 24 hour HD signal without fear of skywave interference.
