mic processor question

so, i'm looking to do some VO work from home in the near future and am looking to upgrade the home studio.

right now, it's just an MXL990 going into an m-audio mobile pre (it was mainly for little things, nothing major).

in the next few weeks or so, i'm looking to pickup an AT4040 and a dbx286a.

my question is, is there an output on the 286 that'll allow me to plug straight into my mobile-pre? or will i just have to get a new soundcard for my computer?

as much as i'd like to spend all the money for a great setup, i'm really not in a position to break the bank on it.

Yes. There is a 1/4" TRS output on the 286A...Make sure you buy a balanced TRS cable to make the connection. You don't want to use, for instance, a standard 1/4" instrument cable, which is unbalanced TS.

Emmett..just to chime in..that is line out of the DBX to LINE in on the M-audio..not the MIC input...althought with one of those Shure Line attentuators you can actually fo into a MIC input..but WHY?
