I worked with Bandy at the Bull. He was a great talent, a great guy, and absolutely hilarious. I made it a point to eat lunch with him at least once a week so we could talk radio. What a shame. RIP friend..
Anyone know what happened? Someone on the Atlanta board mentioned liver failure...
I had the honor of working with him while he was here in Atlanta, 2003-2006, and became fast friends with him. Smart, funny, and one hell of a nice guy! He will be greatly missed by many. My understanding is that it was liver failure and he had been in the hospital for a month or so. My thoughts are with his family and his long time radio partner, Jason Bailey. RIP Bandaddy.
I did not know Michael very well, though I was working at a cross-town competitor in Columbus when they were there...
I did know him, though, as a good, solid radio talent and greatly respected his work.
37 is too young.
I'm deeply saddened by this, especially hearing it come just days before Christmas. May God bless Michael, and his family and friends. I'll be keeping you in my prayers.
