Michael Buble Save The Last Dance

Well, this is the followup to Home.

I don't know, it was a little too jarring to hear it on KOST here in LA. But I guess enough ACs are playing it to make it a top 10 hit. What do you all think?
______________

I think it works. It keeps AC's like KOST from being too down.
You need something lively to keep from getting depressed...

Besides, they play things like "Jack & Diane" and "Baby Hold On",
so although it's more of a standard, it does bring the energy up a bit.

WOKY Milwaukee (Standards/AC) has been playing it for awhile now. It's sort of sleepy.
______________

My opinion on this is that it's awful. It's pretty much the only current on AC that has me reaching for the dial. But, don't let my personal opinions stand in the way, it's going to be big because the target will be loving it, I suspect.
______________

When I first heart this song, I knew it would be the follow-up hit after "Home", and so far it looks like I'm right. I also predict that the Starcity Remix version of it (which some ACs are playing) will get CHR/Pop airplay as well -- but it might be a while before we see that, considering how long James Blunt took to get airplay on U.S. CHR ("You're Beautiful" was first released in the UK in 2004!).

I've long advocated expanding AC playlists, and hopefully we'll start to see that come true, as stations realize there's more to life than just Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Celine Dion. For example, many current Country hits could be a massive success on AC stations as well, even without any kind of remix, if only they were given the chance. Keith Urban was given the chance, and look where that has led... now isn't it time to give other singers and groups their turn? Spin something like Rascal Flatts / "Bless The Broken Road" or Big & Rich / "Never Mind Me" and I bet the reaction from listeners will be entirely positive.

This record is a fine remake of a #1 Pop Hit(1960), & It is one of the best records of the year, easily. Mr. Buble has the potential to be a major hit maker on AC radio for many years, by making recordings like this one.
