I have spent two days answering e-mail and phone calls.

Here is what I can tell you.

1. Michael has NOT been fired from KFAQ.
2. The Tulsa World is out to get him. C'mon...the story is almost 1 year old. Why did they just now publish it??

I don't know Michael but have heard the mixed bag on him.

My father always told me, don't pick a fight with someone that buys ink in 55 gallon drums. Looks like he could have used that same advice.

I have no personal comment on Michael either way. I really don't know the man.

But if there's one thing I've learned...it's that these types of situations tend to make ratings go up in their immediate wake...not down.

And the real question - why is "JournalGuy" still posing as a Journal employee?

If you followed the "Tulsa Ratings" thread, you would see that thiS Person would have zero credibility claiming to be from any type of credible news operation. He's trading in rumor and innuendo - not facts.

Beyond that, much of what he said was libelous. I can't imagine anyone in any position of authority at KFAQ would do that. Wouldn't say much for their journalistic integrity.

Everything "JournalGuy" says is fairly common knowledge. I find it really hard to believe any management type at KFAQ would feel the need to come here and attempt damage control. The pundits on this board will have zero impact on ratings or revenue - so why do it?

The answer? They're not. JournalGuy is clearly a poser.
