Michael graham show

I have just heard the first 5 minutes of the Michael Graham show....This guy is TERRIBLE. He actually makes Herman Cain sound good. Has Cumulus lost its mind ? This show STINKS with a Capital "S".....what is happening to Atlanta radio. This guy speaks in such choppy sentences that he is difficult to follow. Guess this will be good for WSB 9-Noon segment. Herman Cain's ratings are getting ready to go up !

I'm amazed that anyone thinks they can evaluate any radio talk show by hearing only five minutes.

I haven't listened myself (still trying to recover from the weekend), but a first impression means a lot in radio. If I was starting a talk show I would would have my "best stuff" on the first day! Unless you are on the talent level of Robin Williams there is a lot of show "prep" even in music radio.

you can't seriously evaluate someone's talent in five minutes, but having said that, Graham is one of Bloomies chronies so don't expect much with the shift from alll news to newsradio with a slew of little talent talk shows.

I gave a listen...more than 5 minutes....and all I kept thinking was, FINALLY AN ALTERNATIVE TO CAIN...then again, I'd rather listen to Kermit The Frog for an hour over Cain..

I think the MG Show is the perfect alternative for Cain...

I would rather have an hour of dead air over either Cain or Graham. This change on 106 remains weak no matter what anyone thinks. Who found this Graham guy anyway ? There are so many other talk shows available. Certainly they could have located a really local person to host 9am-Noon. But in their usual manner, The Dickey Boys take the easy way out.

correction

"Look for the Bloomquist label …"

If some dug deep I'd bet there's a financial connection between the two.

I would bet there is a deeply twisted connection there (actually, it's probably not that deep). Bloomquist used to work with Graham before but didn't he also work with Kimmer at WGST too? In a city the size of Atlanta, you would think the local pool of talent could provide someone with name recognition that knows the Metro well. And can pronounce names like Chamblee instead of calling it Cham blee

I was prepared to not like Michael Graham. I have been conditioned by the local program directors to expect boring, blowhard, I wannabe just like Rush, hobo talk show hosts the pd's shuffle from one city to another, but Michael is good. Now, The Kimmer is a different story. He is painful to listen to. If he were to get rid of that insincere fake laugh it might be bearable.
