Michael Holley....is it just me?

Has Michael Holley turned into an obnoxious know-it-all? Lately he seems to have morphed into a combination of Felger and Callahan. He's very rude and disrespectful to the callers and his partner. He states his opinion as if it was fact. Yesterday he was embarrassed by a caller after he crapped all over Dale on a point that turned out to be completely wrong. I know Dale is a big boy but he seems to be too polite to return the snarky attitude.

You can almost hear the unspoken, 'I wrote a book about it, what do you know', in his voice. This used to be my favorite show (hockey talk notwithstanding) but not so much anymore.

it's you ;D

nah, I don't see any issue with Felger. Although if I had to deal with the caliber of some of those callers, I might start to become the same way. He's still easier on the ears than GC or Felgy... and I like Felgy, by the way--he plays his contrarian role very well

I've always felt that Holley had that 'entitlement' mentality, and he carries himself as though he does. There is literally NOTHING that elevates a sports radio talk show host above the average guy driving in a car or living in 'Ma's basement.' Absolutely NOTHING. Although Holley et al would have you believe that there's years of training involved (imagine going for a Doctorate degree, they'd say) and years of 'intelligence-gathering.' The truth is they are sports media hacks...and that's being kind. Because of this 'truth.' Holley and the rest of them know that they are thought of as amoebas, so they take their umbrage out on callers and anyone else who dares not bow down to them. Look around at the sports media landscape and the vast majority of them are angry and enraged. Holley really ought to be a little more cheerful, possessing a 'womb-to-the-tomb' job in a moribund economy. If WEEI were to lay off 100 people, Holley would--for obvious reasons--be #106. His good fortune, sadly, doesn't translate into a more agreeable demeanor.
