In a statement WEEI said they offered Michael Holley a multi year contract extension but he declined it.He will expand his role at NBCSportsBoston starting next week.Station wishes him well; he was there 13 years.Search for a replacement is on.

can you blame him?
In a word......NO!
I'm just cynical enough to think that Michael Holley's departure will lead to another eternal "casting-couch" soap-opera.
To me, anyway......It feels like sports has become just an afterthought at WEEI.
The primary topic on WEEI for a long time now has been WEEI.
Michael Holly is a very smart man and has authored some very good books! I don't blame him leaving WEEI because he shouldn't have to associate himself with such a controversial station. WEEI really isn't even a sport station to me, just a station filled with wannabe shock jocks!
