Michael Jackson and E-skip

nd2023

This afternoon and evening, there was an e-skip opening. I noticed a lot of e-skip stations playing Michael Jackson music today. If I looked hard enough, I could have heard a Michael Jackson song on every frequency today.

I don't think you have to look that hard to hear anything by Michael Jackson.

With a thread title like "Michael Jackson and E-Skip" I just HAD to come and see what this could be about. :D

But, then again, we could also have called it "Michael Jackson and Tropo" because areas with active ducting would probably observe the same thing.

Michael Jackson's death was so profound, that every station on the radio, even the "stations" that are normally static, played Michael Jackson.

Let's rename the thread "Michael Jackson Invincible, Dangerous, Bad, Off the Wall E-Skip and Thriller Tropo".

Must be those Rap static stations.

Oh come on! The guy was a great singer, it is time to move on. I'm sure 30 years from now there will be MJ fests and fans like there are for Elvis and the Beatles. All influential artists, but there are a lot of artists recording popular music. Remember the past, make sure we have them in our collections, but please move on to the present, there are a lot of kids coming up who are still going to be able to produce music - unlike dead people. Let's build the new artists up into the next generation of super stars. I heard one the other day - Demi Lovato - move over Kelly Clarkson, that kid can SING!

We could always talk about Billy Mays skip on TV, the guy hardly needed a transmitter to be heard by millions of folks around the country.
