Michael Kay on ESPN

So I turned on 1050 yesterday afternoon and heard Michael Kay.

Doing play-by-play for Brewers/Phillies on ESPN Radio.

This is just one of many gigs he has had under his belt for the network. Of course, he does the afternoon drive time show on 1050. In the past, he was a substitute co-host on Mike Tirico's ESPN Radio afternoon show, and has been a panelist on ESPN TV's "The Sports Reporters" several times.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we find him popping up alongside Wilbon on "P.T.I." one of these days.

At least it keeps him busy during this Yankee-less October... And props to YES for allowing him the flexibility.

My Guess is the 4 letter networkthinks of him to be a rising star.
I am sure he will be part of the PTI substitute staff soon.
Maybe that will mean less of the hatable Dan Lebetard
Or they can put him on Around the Horn in place of Marriotti. ;)
