This has got to be one of the most ridiculous answer to a question I've ever seen from Klein's Q & A:
>>how come q102 says "all the hits" now instead of philly's number 1 hit music station
anonymous, anonymous 7/08/05
A. Because it's not Philly's #1 hit music station. <<
Well then - who is, Michael? Who else plays what is defined as "hit music" (a.k.a. "Pop" music) as a whole in this market that's ahead of Q? There IS no other pop station in Philly.
You could have answered intelligently. "Because it better defines what they do", or "The slogan brands the station's musical diversity better"; but you go for the snide remark instead. This isn't just a defense for Q - basically, every answer to a question pertaining to ANY station that caters to a demographic outside of your age group or gender you tend to brush off with sarcasm. Why is that?
Hard to respect your journalistic integrity or your apparent "knowledge of all things radio" when you show blatant ignorance towards formats that don't interest your "taste".
Glad I cancelled my subsription a few months back. Now I can give another reason besides the incompetency of their customer service department and their deliverers who can't read addresses correctly. What an operation; stupid all the way from the top down to the bottom.
