The FCC acted on an informal petition against Michael Radio to move their KLLM from Wheatland to a crossroads called Horse Creek. The ultimate objective was to rimshot Cheyenne.

The FCC rejected the claim that Horse Creek is a community and denied the move-in. For all you station owners pondering a COL change this is a good backgrounder:as to the FCC's thought processes.

This was originally proposed to move to WEst Laramie.. and they denied that too. I can tell you west laramie is no more a community than Horse Creek...... west laramie is a "neighborhood".. its what everyone in laramie refers to as anything west of the train tracks.
