Michael Savage Show Suspended After TRN Lawsuit Win

Specifically, Michael Savage says the show will be off the air "for some time" after his legal victory.

I wonder if WOR is going to fill all two hours from 6-8 PM with NBC News now? :

If Savage goes with Premier he could be back on WOR very soon -- with all three hours.

Premiere is possible, but I wouldn't count out other syndicators. I personally think Savage would be a shoo-in for GCN.

As of this morning WOR hadn't altered its website to reflect Savage's departure.

Since Clear Channel is running the joint already under an LMA pending the final transfer, they could plug in something from their Premiere Networks lineup almost immediately--my guess is it'll be a delayed broadcast of Glenn Beck. Although they might do better in the market if they plugged in Randi Rhodes....

He likely won't be back on the air until after the election.

Yesterday I've heard an encore performance of the Mike Savage Show on WOR.


I'm wondering if Savage being off the air which was stated in his column is only short term.

Though Savage is no longer featured on the TRN website, it still lists a Savage feed. Has WOR said anything about this?

WOR should go with Todd Schnitt unless they find a way to get Savage back.

Dropping Beck did not seem to hurt but this might.

NY has to be Savage's top market.

As of Friday they were still running the liner, "This is the Home of Michael Savage, WOR-710." Of course, that immediately followed the disclaimer stating that Savage's opinions do not represent those of WOR, staff, management, etc.

While the aforementioned "Schnitt Show" is a good choice, and is based at a Clear Channel station and heard on many other CC news/talk stations, remember that his show is actually syndicated by Compass Media, not Premiere.
