These are not CHR artists.. what is Sirius Hits ONE thinking.. After listening to this channel for about 2 months now, Im beggining to wonder why they dont call it Stiffs One.... I wish I had XM so i could listen to Kiss XM and Pop 2k,,,,,, Hits one completely ignore all Rhythm and Dance,, and plays all these AC and Alternative Stiffs.

And yes I know his name is pronounced Micheal BOOB-LAY,, but I call him Micheal BUBBel,, cause I think its funny,, and I think he is lame.

I thought I was the only person who called him Michael Bubble. I guess it's funny because it's like how people get gum and they blow bubbles.

I think Sirius Hits 1 is actually a pretty clever CHR/Pop station. It's more male friendly as a lot of the subscribers to satellite radio, and especially Sirius (due to the Howard stern effect) are males. What you end up with is a pretty unique sounding CHR/Pop, which is always a good thing.
At the same time, I agree that it would be nice if Sirius XM would also air 20 On 20, or Kiss XM.

This is exactly what I've thoguht as well. Most satrad listeners are male, so Hits One is a CHR that males don't feel too ashamed to listen to.

What satrad really needs is a Rhythmic CHR and Rhythmic AC.

I dont really think its a bad CHR,, but we only have this and BBC as the only CHR Choices,, both of which have a rock lean,, but at least BBC is more Dance friendly,,,, especially on friday night when they have the Dance music marothon from 6 pm to 7 AM,, nothing but Dance.

Hits 1 is pretty dance-friendly too. They were the only CHR that I know of that gave a fair shot to Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff

I dont really consider them that Dance Friendly,,, sure they play one or two here and there, but their ignoring most of the POP DANCE thats out right now,,, they play AMERICANO,, but they havent touched Like a G-6,, or the new Pitbull and T-Pain song,,, amoung lots of others that are more considered hip hop,, but to me their Dance. My local CHR plays more POP-Dance then Hits ONE,, but my local CHR hasnt touched any pure Dance lately unless you count Enrique-I like it.... But then again my local CHR wont play new rock hits unless they are like top 5,, they wont even play NEON Trees,, so at least I get the good ROCK hits on HITS ONE.

Actually I think what sirius hits 1 has done works for them...People need a reason to switch to satelite and the reason to make the switch would not be to hear the same hits you can hear at your local radio station at any given moment...they give you an alternative to your local radio stations. They eventually get to all the hits as well...they are now on Far East Movement...I am a little surprised about the omission of Rihanna...they have always been quick to add her previous hits. The jury is still out on pitbull's new one being a hit unless your a rythmic leaning CHR. Plus as was previously mentioned satelite is a male leaning gadget...which sirius 1 leans towards males.

Also Sirius 1 use to play more hip hop...when hip hop was the trend...although they still leaned rock.

Granted, it's not really a CHR song, but the new Sugarland song, " Stuck on You" is darn catchy & is one of my favorites on the country chart right now. (My other fav. is "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry.)

Anyway, I also don't care for Hits 1's weird rock lean & obsession with stiffs. I always figured they had that lean because sat. radio is more popular in rural, heartland type areas, and those weird rock tracks & country crossovers work there. (look at WAEZ Electric 94.9 in Tri-Cities, TN/VA. They play these rock stiffs too & they seem to be their biggest tracks. They played that "100 in a 55" song into the ground last year; even though it tanked nationally. They've done that with other weird rock tracks too.). Anyway, they remind me of Hits 1 at times & that "heartland" core audience is why I think Sirius leans their CHR that way. I do wish they'd add a more traditional CHR though (& I'd love a rhythmic AC).
