Wow.... She's TICKLED? Great. You just wrecked 2 lives by blowing out Barnes and Eric, and you're TICKLED AND EXCITED?

They want to make it all about the music, and reduce the personality, yet the best part of DaveFM is Mara, who is ALL ABOUT PERSONALITY.
 
I never understood what was so, I don't know, so not right about Eric. Especially for what DAVE is trying to accomplish. He was calm, professional, maybe a tad boring but I always thought was due to the constraints of the station. Are they at least gonna move Mara to afternoons?

I was always amazed at Eric's lack of personality on the air. He was, a long time ago, 'Shark' - an (R&R) award-winning alternative jock. I suppose it's not so much his failure as it is the station's. Mara is a great personality, a real talent, and she's well-loved by the carry-over crowd from Z and those who enjoy her show on Dave.

...but what about the listener? Anyone with an iPod, XM, or Sirius (or hell, a CD player) can get that. For people who don't want to be spoon-fed hipness, there's 96rock and The River. Sheesh...talk about an over-inflated sense of self-importance.
 
I have no idea what Dave's ratings are by daypart but I have to think if Mara left they would be that much worse. Music is great but I can get their style of muysic from numerous sources on the dial, save your obligatory XM/Sirius comments. It is the personality that keeps around until the end of the song to hear what they may have to say.

Eric to me was the most boring personality on radio and add in his traffic gal Renee and I had to scream when they were on together. Paint drying would be more fun.

Oh, please. They're radio announcers who got released from a station with bad ratings and revenue, not refugees of war.

I believe that's what I was saying...that their lack of personality is their downfall -- and that if all one cares for is what one wants to hear, one could go the obligatory route.
