Michelle Jerson On IQ 106.9

She announced on Facebook that she will host the 12 Noon-3 PM time slot this Friday. Of course, that time slot is presumed to be going to El Rushbo, but this could lead to a regular gig on the station if all goes well.

Jerson was most recently heard on NJ 101.5.

She wasn't that good on WKXW when I heard her there. LMAO when I heard her call the station "New Jersey 101.5." Between this show and the morning show which needs extreme improvement, you have to wonder who is in charge at WWIQ? They should be able to do far better than this.

This weekend, she wrote on her Facebook page that she was in Central Park... Will she invade WEMP in New York next? Hmmm...

you want an opinion outside the market? She sounds good. And on the weekend programming it sounds fine. I am listening to the stream and it is no different than Talk Radio out here in the hicks (I am in Central Mississippi)

wonder if she'd become the 6-10PM (post Hannity) host?

Her talk format (relationship stuff) would work really well post-dinner.

I sure hope not. I'm praying they get Mark Levin. It sucks that we have to hear him on a tape delay and I really hope they can get him live at 6:00 where other stations have failed to do so.

Well, now I've read it all. Someone not only hoping but "praying" for a syndicated program to air in Philadelphia. Hallelujah.

Perhaps you're unaware, Levin doesn't air live in Philly. He only places on a tape delay.

So, YEAH. Of course we want him live.

Especially considering 6pm is drive time.

Jerson gets my vote for something more light-hearted than the boiler-plate bombast of Rush, Hannity et al. Dennis Praeger on WNTP or IRN/USA's Kerby Anderson on Point of View are my principal choices for conservative content. These two don't go on the air lecturing the listeners, thank goodness. All the time I've heard them, they've treated callers and guests respectfully. Sad to see that shock-jock yowling grabs the audience; have we become THAT dumbed-down?

Have you heard her drivel? So dumbed down she is number one with hammers (18-34)

I think her show is more suited for evenings or weekends. People in the 18-34 age range are very much into dating and looking for Mr. or Ms Right and settling down. I listened to a few of her shows which made me think back to my dating days.

The whole station sounds like I'm being punked. No cohesiveness between dayparts. If the station is targeting women, then the likes of Rush, Hannity and the rest of the low IQ don't fit.
If the station is targeting men, then the problem is obvious. Fire everyone except Hilarie,McKay, and Kim Douglas, and repeat news, traffic and weather, much like music stations rotate their power songs.

Women love conservative talk radio. Listen to Hannity. The bulk of his callers are women, and the #LNYHBT twitter army is overwhelmingly women.

That's just Hannity. Rush's male-to-female caller ratio is about 15:1.

Let not your aging male demographic be troubled...

Slanthead Hannity gets female fans because they think he's attractive. Rush doesn't because he's not. (Rush has a hard enough time convincing a woman to stay married to him, let alone listen to him on a daily basis!).

I like to call Hannity the Jim Kerr of conservative talk radio (Kerr, NYC radio veteran DJ, drew high female demographics under multiple music formats)...

Beck (another IQ host) also gets some female callers, but it varies per day.

Talkers.com says Jerson "has developed a new web venture called PassportRomance.com. The content-rich travel website combines her experience as a relationship host and travel expert... Jerson is also creating radio segments to promote her site and will appear on Merlin Media’s WWIQ, Philadelphia “IQ 106.9” on the morning show with Al Gardner and Lionel this Friday."
