That's an easy one. Clear Channel gets lots more than the standard affiliation deal ... like weekly show access to Jerry and Wade, training camp, Valley Ranch facilities and better than regular Joe access to Jerry World seating if you know what I mean. In other words, good and saleable exclusives plus the Cowboys remain on WOAI for a long time. Yeah the show sucks the big one and probably chases away most of their listeners, but sandwiched between Rome and Taylor, it's just a blip in the ratings and apparently someone there thinks its worth the price.

The ratings weren't always this bad for this show, were they? I would imagine when Brad Sham hosted on a regular basis, that it actually had decent results. Perhaps KTKR was promised Sham, only to have Mickey thrown in there instead.
