New member here from just north of Austin, Texas. I've been noticing a very faint signal on 96.3 running Republic Broadcasting Network programming similar to Alex Jones which also shows up on 90.1. I can't seem to ever hear any call letters and I've searched the net for information but very little shows up. Perhaps there is a Austin member here on the board who knows the story.

While listening to the mystery station on 96.3 on July 28 I had DX skip coming in over this station from WBBB - Raleigh and WLVQ from Columbus, Ohio both over 1200 miles away.

90.1, 96.3, and 100.1 all used to be heard in most parts of town with similar if not the same programming. i believe at one time they were all part of "Radio Free Austin" but the website that was associated has been gone for a while too. there are some reads if you google that. it's been a while since I've picked anything up on 96.3 and 100.1. there are some old pirate topics on this board that might have more info.
 
The 96.3 has been on forever I don't guess they ever found them.
 
90.1 is up as of this morning. It's got a signal that I can get on MoPac from Ben White all the way through 183. Interesting programming, even though I don't exactly agree with the politics<grin>. Given that it's such a strong signal, I'm kind of surprised it hasn't been shut down by now.
 
i heard someboby talking on 90.1, its has noise with but you are able to hear what they where talking about. on east 7th and about 1 block off ih 35.
