Microwave Transmission for New York Cable Companies

Just wondering if anyone knows if the cable companies use microwave anymore in NY State? Or is it just dont via fiber optics. We talked about Eastern Microwave a while back...wondering if anything like that exists anymore.

As far as Time Warner is concerned, my money would be on fiber, but that's just an educated guess.

Seeing as how microwave would require FCC approval/licensing, you could check FCC records to see if cable companies hold any active licenses. (Not to be confused with any licenses TWC has for their News 10 Now / Capital News 9 live trucks.) Unfortunately, the FCC's website is not exactly famous for its user-friendliness. Always a pain in the neck trying to find certain things on there.
