John Depetro stated when he was young he always dreamed some day of replacing Salty. Now he is on 6-10 so he should be happy. However logic tells me he is probably one of the few morning drive talk show hosts,all news morning anchors,or morning jocks who make less than the midday people or PM drive man, Due to circumstances beyond his control ,Buddy a RI living legend is reported to be breaking the bank, St. Pierre the former morning man and operations manager has to be making a big buck.and Yorke with good ratings and longevity has to command a sizable salary. Depetro having been with PRO since February and in need of a job after RKO unjustly let him go probably did not have much leverage over contract. Now he finds himself in the most important time slot on station and lowest paid of the 4. Can anyone think or know of similar situation?

Gotta agree, this is a way of pushing him out slowly.

Why would they want to push him out? He hasn't been back that long. If you want to push someone out, don't hire him in the first place. I'm sure WPRO had a game plan in the works long before Buddy was released. The only question marks might have been where to put Buddy & for how many hours & how to shuffle everyone else around. If DePetro leaves, it will probably be his decision. Citadel doesn't make rash moves without backup plans. If they even have an inkling that John may not be there for the long haul, they're already thinking. You want a strange suggestion? If he leaves, put Charlie Jefferds there. He's well liked & a worthy successor to a shift done by Salty. He'd be a non controversial class act that could tie everything together in the morning before the talk shows that can sometimes get ornery begin. Everybody knows him. Everybody likes him.
As far as the salary thing, in the past it wasn't unheard of for some air personalities to make more than their PDs.
