Heritage AC Lite 98.7 WLZW in Utica, New York has an immediate opening for a Mid-day air talent. Come join this monster, McVay Media consulted AC in Central New York’s beautiful Mohawk Valley. We are looking for a passionate on-air entertainer with at least 2 years full time AC experience. You must have second-to-none phone skills, prep LOCAL material, be comfortable with many appearances, and have the drive and desire worthy of taking over this top-rated mid-day show. Selector skills would be helpful too.

Word on the street is that she was confronted about her laziness, and just up and quit over the phone, no warning, no 2-week notice. So Lite may be scrambling to cover middays for a while, but in the long run, they'll be better off for it. You might say Shelly was a good on-air talent, but the skills end there.

It's amazing they didn't fire her before she could quit. The staff who always had to pick up her slack is probably hoping the replacement will actually do the entire job, and not just the airshift.

What's Shelly up to now? Probably the same thing she was at Lite -- sitting around reading magazines and eating bon bons. Except now, she doesn't get paid for it.
