The current middayer is Amy, and she's recently had a baby (as has the middayer for sister station WJZW).
WRQX is owned by ABC (for now) ergo, Disney. I believe they are an AFTRA/NABET shop. The studios are decent. There is a fairly progressive work atmosphere, though their AM talk station runs an extremely conservative format.
For a big three network O&O, you don't get a real sense of personality at the station. It's kind of compact, there aren't the usual things like pictures of personalities on the walls, but reminders here and there that you work for ABC. Everything is very well engineered, if a bit rustic, though a studio rebuild is under way. Audio comes from a paleolithic Scott system that will be replaced by an Enco DADpro32.
The ratings are anemic, but nobody is in a rush to do anything about it. The morning show has been in place since forever and is "the franchise".
The midday fill in is okay, but not dazzling, kind of following the jock 101 handbook. However, don't expect an interview unless you have serious game.
