Middays on Kicks

I'm hoping Kicks is thinking about someone to voicetrack middays. I don't like the voicetracking concept, but they have to be able to do better than the local person who's been doing the shift. She's not on the website, so hopefully they're trying to figure out another way.

She'd be fine for weekends at the country station in Enterprise/Dothan, AL at 96.9. I think they call it Big Dog Country.

Roddy that's just cold! I've listened and she doesn't sound all that bad, I think she was a part timer on the weekends. If you're going to voice track mid-days is the day part to do it. Although according to Rodney's blog the River is doing it in PMD.
 
You're right, Red. The River's PD is on middays, and B98's Jordan Graye is VTing as Kate McCarthy, which still baffles us why Cox would have a jock in the same market VT another station in the market under a different name. And, when they were called out on it, they were like "well, yeah" and keep on doing it. If they're going to VT the shift, and the entire market knows it's Jordan Graye, why not let her VT as Jordan Graye?

Maybe because "the entire market" is a bunch of radio people?

There probably aren't 10 average listeners in the entire city who know or care.

You might be right about that! ;D But, that's also a sad factoid that's putting more and more of us in the unemployment line :'(
