Middays on Wolf

FWIW, Lisa Taylor is VT-ing middays from KPLX in Dallas . With the complaints about nothing new on the board- I thought I would post instead of lurk :)

Her bio on the Wolf's site is a lie? She is on the morning show in Dallas and drives past Dollys house in Brentwood on her way to take the kids to school....WOW long trip every day...hahaha This is sad....

"Lisa Taylor is the newest member of the 95.5 Wolfpack. Before coming to Nashville to raise her family, she spent time in Country radio in New York City, Los Angeles, and upon her arrival was even the first Grand Ole’ Opry host on CMT in 2001, and co-host of Farm Aid that same year. Lisa began her radio career in High School while growing up in a tiny town in West Virginia. Her love for acting eventually led her to New York where her work in theater and television allowed her to introduce and work with some of the biggest celebrities and biggest names in Country Music. “I remember hosting ‘Country Takes Manhattan’, a whole week of amazing country concerts all over NYC on some of its biggest and most important stages. Dolly took my hand backstage before her concert at Carnegie Hall, and seeing that I was a little nervous to interview such a superstar said, ‘It’s OK, honey…you’re gonna do just fine!’ Now every morning when I drive past one of her houses on Crockett Road in Brentwood, taking my kid to school, I always give it a wink!” Lisa notes one of the great things about being in Nashville was becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Davidson County. Helping the kids of St. Jude also holds a special place in her heart. "

Cumulus? Lie? I'm shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED!
The Fairness Doctrine should be applied to radio advertising, promotion, and websites, not airtime!
A "truth detector" should be applied!

I remember reading bits about the likes of Lisa Manning and Rich Brother Robbin on Memphis radio stations simultaneous to their being on the air here in Nashville!

Certainly not doubting anyone's word on this site..

(you guys know a LOT more than I do), but how does she go about her CASA-Davidson Co. duties from Dallas?

You've heard of 'voice tracking?' This is called 'body-tracking' or cloning.' You have one of those back-to-the--futre thingees You know...this was really funny in my mind when I started, but it's gone down hill from here.?[/color] (drums please as I tap dance stage left)

Frank Seres is gone but the Wolf is still running a "live" spot that says..." Tell them that Frank Seres from the Wolf sent you.." Now I know the Wolf can use his voice ( or can they) for a wile but come on have a little class.

Looks like more of the same. " 955 The Wolf with ( artist ) & ( title ) on 955 The Wolf"
With all of the talent on the street IN town seems they could find someone to do this with out VT'ing from Dallas. Oh well what do I know? ::)

Except local talent would want to paid. Lisa does V/t for a mere fraction of what they'd have to pay someone here. Is KPLX a cumulus statiion? She may be paid nothing.

Buddy, you are forgetting about the transporter beam like the one on Star Trek. Every morning after her morning show in Dallas, she walks in to the transporter room and says "Beam me to Nashville Scotty"

Delta and others, For several weeks I have been racking my brain trying to figure out the third song in the Rupert Holmes trillogy. I finally remembered it is a song called "Awnsering Machine". I'm so proud.

I'm so proud. i had no idea there was a third song..i don't think i've ever heard that one..i do however have the "coal miners trilogy"..big,bad,john, workin' in a coal mine..and timothy..

What's silly is they must really think the listeners are stupid, and don't realize that these super jocks are not local. Come on the listeners know what's up. They're mainly listening for the music anyway.

The listeners aren't stupid...they simply don't care. They don't see or talk to these jocks even when they're local. So they might as well be a thousand miles away. No big deal.
