ITS SO INTERESTING THAT EVERYONE IS CREATING JOKES MAKING FUN BECAUSE THE REST OF THE RADIO STATIONS IN THIS AREA ARE EMPTY WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND EVEN THOUGH THESE SO CALLED EXPERTS IN PROGAMMING ON THESES STATIONS ARE GETTING PAID DECENT MONEY THERE ARE NO RADIO SHOWS OUT THERE THAT LEAVE YOU ENTERTAINED FINNALLY WALE 990 HAS PUT A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AND WELL SEASONED GENERAL MANAGER BIG ANGE AT THE HELM TO CONDUCT A NON SCREENING TALK SHOW STATION THAT WILL PROVIDE TALENT. BIG ANGE WHO HAD A 69.7 SHARE FOR YEARS AT WPRO AND WJAR SUPERSTAR IN RADIO WHEN RADIO HAD FINANCALLY HIGHER NUMBERS THAN TELIVISION. THIS FORUM BRINGS OUT THE WANNABE PROGRAM DIRECTERS. BUT PROFESSIONALS IN THIS INDUSRTY LIKE HOLAND COOK, JAY CLARK, WARREN POTASH, ALVIN HERSKOVITZ, DAVE MITCHELL, KING ARTHUR KNIGHT AND OTHERS REALIZE THAT GENERAL SALES MANAGERS CONTROLS MOST OF RADIO TODAY BECAUSE PROGRAMMERS WHEN SHAKIN HAVE NO CHECKS FLYING OUT OF THERE POCKETS AND CONTROLERS HAVE REALIZED THAT THE SALES DEPARTMENT BRING IN THE CASH WHO ENDS UP WITH CONTROL. SO THE BIG LESSON HERE IS FOLLOW THE MONEY.
 
finally live talk with no SCREENING the dump button will be on people that know radio know that the callers are the show without callers and with the same callers calling most of the shows sounds SCREENED radio today is owned corprate and sounds corprate true pros realize the callers must take back radio
 
Do you think people really care that BIG ANGE HAD A 69.7 SHARE? So did Soupy Sales 40 years ago. It means jack squat in the year 2007 when nobody knows him from a hole in the wall.

You are right....what these guys did won't matter....it is what they do NOW that will be worth noticing. Let's watch and see. If it happens there will be plenty of time to put them down and make fun. I, for one would LOVE to see all this happen, even if it bombs.
 
The best idea for this would be to quiet down until the 11th, then come ehre and tell us all how wrong we are.

Put one of those billboards up next to The Comedy Connection in East Providence. Might as well target the station's potential audience.

during these tough radio times not even giants like clear-channel know what to do so 50000 watt stations have a better chance than most
 
radiowavesri....I've been out of the country for 10 days; but if you and/or WALE want to be taken seriously, you gotta be sure to at least make an attempt to spell things correctly

Now that you've turned off the caps lock, think maybe you can learn some basic English grammar and spelling? That little dot is called a period-and it ends a sentence. Remember, the first word in the new sentence is then capitalized. Believe me, I've been in the biz 24 1/2 years and I've seen kids like you come and go-mostly go. We all know you're some troll who's all jacked about WALE but face some facts. If it ever was a factor,it's not one now and won't ever be one. It's trashed what little credibility it had by financial shenanigans, basic cheapness, and stupidity. 990 is well down the road to irrelevance, if not at the end of it. Management, such as it is, can't even get a decent engineer to find out what the technical problems are and keep it on air. For the likes of you to insult weekend 92's part-time status is hilarious. I've got Tshirts older (and more mature) than you. I doubt you've done anything on-air other than in your own mind.
PS-Sign me up for some of those "fee" tickets.

ANYTHING I've done in radio is much more than what will happen on N Main St in the next year! Jealous....no way, I've been in the bigs and don't need to be jealous of anything that could happen there. Your problem is with WHJJ rather than WPRO as at least PRO has Ron, John & Dan on......and they talk about local issues. I wish the adventure well; but I've been down this road before...1110 CNN ring a bell?
