Miffed Jerry Doyle attends local event..Complains about parking.

Self-important former commander of a cardboard TV space ship and now talk radio host JERRY DOYLE attended a local Vegas event at a bistro-bar. He complained he could not find a parking space for his $300,000 Astoria Martini Sports Car. Nice to have a man of the people show up to meet all the little people....thanks Jerry...he couldn't find a place to park his attitude either.

I would have complained if I couldn't find somewhere to park the Chevrolet I drive... you wouldn't have?

Is "Astoria Martini" one of those cutesy nomenclatures, like "The Wallbanger" "The Gluesniffer" "Charlie TooShorts" that all the talk hosts seem to have when people disagree with them?

Celebrities need to realize that if the average Joe in the street witnesses a celebrity being an a-hole, he or she
will go on to tell virtually every one else they meet over the course of many years or a lifetime. That adds up to
hundreds and thousands of people (not counting those who post their observations on internet chat boards).

My uncle was in charge of maintenance at a large downtown hotel where many celebrities stayed.
Those who were obnoxious or condescending got stories circulated about them locally for years and years.

Apparently this guy is supposed to have a beater car specifically to drive to public events so that he won't be judged on his success or ability to buy a nice car.

I have never heard the guy's show before, but I'm going to guess this has more to do with whatever opinions Doyle voices on the air than what kind of car he drives or what kind of parking he would like for it.

Just saw this thread…it so happens that Jerry Doyle was attending my "Happy Hour with Heidi" event at the Bootlegger in the Copa Room. I sang with two of the best musicians in Vegas, and it was a great night.

We packed the place to capacity (over 300), even had to turn folks away, so parking was apparently difficult for everyone. They don't usually get crowds that large in the Copa Room.

Doyle made an appearance, and was terrific. He was making a JOKE about parking that was probably intended as a compliment for me, since we exceeded everyone's expectations with the size of the crowd. The exchange between the two of us was priceless, and the video is on my Heidi Harris Show FB page. The crowd LOVED him.

Sorry you're so resentful of his success. No one is talk radio is more down to earth or willing to admit their frailties than Jerry is.

BTW...my next event is scheduled for Dec 16th. Get there early.

Don't you love shameless self-promotion, especially when it's targeting fellow industry folk? Or are we supposed to be as impressed and smitten as "Joe in Henderson" would be?

Gee, I heard something once about being able to dish it out and not take it. It is funny that people who attack everyone and everything on the air..can not take a somewhat tongue it cheek tweek.

300 people? Is that all of KDWN listening audiance? I guess people should check the ratings section of this website and see what type of ratings KDWN gets in the Vegas market.

Oh and the man with the Astoria Martini car? Mr. Doyle, other than Vegas and a station in New England, is he on live anywhere in the USA?

I had my Peel retro-fitted to electric.

Clearly.

I don't know what opinions he (Doyle) has, but whatever they are, they are not doing much for Las Vegas KDWN's ratings.

PHX, LA, Reno, Albequerque, Denver, Seattle, etc. usually talk stations are rated in the top five or the top one or two,

this Jerry Doyle "flagship station" requires one to get a chiropractic adjustment after bending one's neck to read the station's low ratings.

It doesn't matter what his views are, because no one is listening.
