the countdown stunt on KUFO sounds like when "the buzz" flipped to "the wolf".... interested to find out what format are (or if) they are going to, but according to wikipedia (which has since been taken off), it will be smooth jazz and called "boring 101"

Can someone PEASE tel me why anyone finds Ricker's brand of radio entertaining in the least?
Also, someone PLEASE tell Ricker that he oesn't have to pot the music way up in between his ramblings then back down to a barely inaudible level only to bring it back up when pausing again, maybe someone can show him how to find a nice level to bring the bed music to whilehe talks over it, says what he needs to say and then gets out.
Oh but I do have one question for Ricker as he exits to Portland "What's in it for me? No, I mean seriously.....why would I want to do that and what's in it for me?"
BTW Alpha Broadcasting is in trouble if they're pinning the hopes of htei newly acuired KUFO on him

Remember WKRP and one episode that was based on "A Christmas Carol" and at one point showed Herb Tarlek at an all automated WKRP.Lets just hope and pray those kind of days are not coming.

That's the problem with Seattle. We have some stations ripe for a change (97.3, 98.9) but nobody wants to messy up the status quo.....

If it matters... per the KUFO website. Ricker is the 3-7pm. The station is still a rock station (no flip).
