Mike Brophy

The Country Radio Seminar board of directors announced the 2014 Country Radio Hall of Fame inductees including Mike Brophy currently PD of WKLB, Boston. Brophy spent a number of years in afternoon drive at WXTU when they went country in 1984 and was a hold-over from the 92.5 punk rock & urban contemporary formats, but found his niche in country. I believe he's the first personality so honored to have worked in Philadelphia radio although some were heard here via. 50kw nighttime signals or syndication like Ralph Emery.
