Just in case some of you might not be aware of this, WXXI's Mike Caputo left the station last Wednesday to take a job with the Center for Governmental Research. Mike had been with WXXI for several years as News Director, and host of "Need to Know." Before that Mike was a reporter with the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper.Mike's departure comes just a few months after the VP for Television, Gary Walker, left WXXI to work for Mayor Robert Duffy's adminstration as communications director.For the timebeing Mike is being replaced by Julie Phillip, a former colleague of mine from my days at WXXI radio. I wish her well.
