Mike Gallegher will broadcast live from Wilmington

Salem Broadcasting national talker, Mike Gallegher is to broadcast live from the 9th Street Bookstore in Downtown Wilmington on Friday July 15th from 9am to 12noon. WILM will air the live broadcast and also rebroadcast the show at their usual air time of 1pm to 4pm. This is part of a nationwide book signing tour Gallegher's doing.

Of all the right wing leaning talk shows, I find his the most boring and hardest to listen to of the genre that I have heard. When even his pompous promos come on another show on WNPV I turn the station off and question putting it back on ever, since they follow the spot with "another reason YOU listen to WNPV!". Just another mediocre guy who claims to have all the answers. I can't imagine how bad a book by him would be. I really can't understand why WNPV runs him opposite Rush Limbaugh (1-3pm), which is where all the conservatives gather at that hour. That's like running arena football on opposite the superbowl as far at that audience is concerned. I think he's somewhere late night on WNTP which is a better slot for his "talent".

He's not my favorite talker either, however I recall a discussion here some time ago where someone said that Gallegher has the 8th largest audience of any national talker. So someone, apparently, likes and listens to him. Being #8 nationally isn't too bad.

I don't particularly enjoy him, either. While he occasionally makes a good point, he once attacked people who tried to do something about school bullying, in essence defending the practice of bullying as normal. I lost what respect I ever had for him after that.

Since I posted above I just noticed they changed his promo on WNPV from "Conservative & cutting edge" to "Liberal or Conservative" you'll like the show. I know PD Darryl Berger used to get a lot of complaints on his talk show when they added Gallager but he pretended there was nothing he could do about it. Guess it's cheaper than other shows.
