MIKE LANDRY WBUD/MITCH ELKINS WMID

Kevin...he's alive and last I heard a proud grandpa, out of radio (sadly) and living in Bucks County, PA. I hope so...
I don't have a current email address as the one I have doesn't connect.
If I find out more, I'll let ya know.
There's got to be SOMEONE on here who knows how to get in touch with Landry...
Drop me a line Kevin...I've got a couple of questions for you.

BE BIG!
Jay the Jock

I feel terrible; I told someone the other night that I had heard that he passed away a few years ago...I'm almost certain I read that, and if that's not the case, I hope he's doing well and enjoying his post-radio life.

Yeah, where the heck is he? He was on the Millennium phone extension list as "traffic" for a number of years. Had an email address listed as well (damn if I can remember it, but not useful if he ain't there no more anyway). He was in Trenton, and specifically at those stations ('BUD/'KXW) for-almost-ever. I worked with/for him a couple of times there. Really great guy. He'd call 'BUD every now and then and ask me to play Mario Lanza's "Be My Love" for his ma-in-law when they'd visit her.

He was one of the first jocks on when WPEN went oldies in the mid-70's, and wound up being one of the first jocks on 'MGK when they hit about a year after that.

Hey Mitchell -- Where are ya, man?

Hi Gang,

I love these "where are they now posts" They bring back a ton of memories.
After 20 some odd years, Mike and I finally got together last night at his place in Coatesville. I never pictured Mike as an Amish kinda guy, but whatever! Actually, he lives with his son and daughter-in-law in a gorgeous home. Mike has dealt with some health issues, but he got a good chuckle when I told him of the rumors of his death. I and many others, owe a great deal of gratitude to Mike for having given us a chance to start our careers. Kix 101 1/2 may not have been the most refined station, but the people who passed through that shack were very high quality, and many went on to become quite successful. Sadly, the crew we had during my time there (81-89) has seen many people pass long before their time...Chris Landon (perhaps the best pipes of anyone I ever worked with, and a great guy), Barb Spinelli (more party stories than I could ever share), Willie Twyman (Funny how the gm was too intimidated to tell him not to play his own 12" singles on the air), Floyd Bennet Field (what a name!) and most recently, John Roman.

Aside from Ted Kelly and Cheryl Ann Jones, I've lost touch with everyone else. If any of you are out there, get in touch...I miss you!

Steve McKay

Hey Steve, please email me at [email protected]. I also worked with Mike at Kix and NJ101.5/WBUD, and would love to re-connect with him. thanx.

I worked with Cheryl at WH for a few years. She was always one of my favorite people. Can you tell us what she is doing these days?

Funny thing about CJ. I own a pharmacy in Trenton, and her mother used to come in all the time (she's since passed). One evening I was talking to my mother, who knew CJ, and she asked, "Do you ever see Cheryl Anne Jones?" Being the smart-ss I am I said, "sure, Jones is an easy name to track down in Trenton..." The next day, I was at a restaurant, and as I got up to eat, I was approached by CJ- who looks great, and we had a great laugh. (I guess you had to be there ;-) )

Allan- drop me a line at steve.ettman@gmail and I'll gladly pass along your info to Mike,
