Looks like ESPN is starting to get very, very serious in competing with WFAN.
First, they lured one of the most recognizable names in New York sports radio updates, Jared Max, away from WCBS-AM - WFAN's sister station - and now, they will give an hour-long daily show to one of the most recognizable names in New York sports media, Mike Lupica, at 2 PM, right before Michael Kay.

The odd show out will be the daily program hosted by Brandon Tierney and Jody MacDonald, and one of them apparently still has a scheduled show on the station... and to my surprise, it's Jody Mac, who's long been heard on the weekends, as well as weekdays. When I say "to my surprise," that's meant with no disrespect at all, and Jody Mac is one of the great ones, but you'd have to wonder if ESPN wanted to aim at the younger demographics, Tierney would still be in the mix somewhat.
