Mike Lupica Show Dropped from ESPN NY Lineup

As per Neil Best in Newsday,
story link: http://www.newsday.com/sports/media/mike-lupica-no-longer-on-espn-new-york-radio-1.10769107

WFAN's Mike Francesa had been tripling Lupica's ratings in the 1-3 PM period.

Possible replacements could be (Alan) Hahn + Humpty (former Islander Rick DiPietro) currently heard from 7-10 PM
or (Ryan) Ruocco + (Dave) Rothenberg currently heard from Noon-1 PM.

Best expects that the new midday show will air from Noon-3 PM, rather than the awkwardly chopped up one and two hour shows that currently air.
To be determined is when Dan Le Batard (replacing Colin Cowherd) will be heard on WEPN (likely 10 AM-Noon...we'll see).
Le Batard's program will air nationally from 10 AM-1 PM ET.

Lupica will continue to be seen + heard on ESPN TV's Sunday morning "Sports Reporters" program.

In addendum: 98.7 ESPN NY's Radio Schedule has been quickly updated to eliminate Lupica's show from the listings.
For the week of 8/24-8/28/15, Dave Rothenberg is listed as host from Noon-3 PM.
Waddle and Silvy (former Chicago Bear Tom Waddle + Marc "Silvy" Silverman) from ESPN Radio Chicago (WMVP) are this week's fill-ins on the 10 AM-1 PM ET national radio program
which will be heard on 98.7 FM from 10 AM-Noon Mon.-Fri. for the week.
Gerald Brown and Howie Cee (from SiriusXM's NBA Radio Bottom Line Sports Show) are filling in for Hahn + Humpty on 3 of the 5 evenings during the week.

Lupica's a class act who's getting a raw deal from ESPN-NY, period - and ANYBODY who takes over that time slot on 98.7 will NEVER have Lupica's class - it will turn into another "Francesca" - brash, loud, and at sometimes obnoxious!
