Agreed - those who had to deal with the aftermath of Whitey's crimes don't find this funny. Interesting how the "First Ammendment" is utilized by Corporations, but ofentimes the listener/common man doesn't have that same right to complain about it. It's called a MUTE button for callers with another point of view.

Wow - your a little touchy. Yes, Whity is a horrible person, but like it or not he is a celeberty in the state of Mass, just in the same way that Mineno, Romney, Dukakkas are. Mike FM is just playing off of that celeberty status.
Mike wasn't trying to offend anyone, or say that Whity is a nice guy. Your just taking things way too seriously.
If you don't like what you hear - change the station - it's that simple.

I think that is a bit outside the scope of what we're talking about. If you want you can take it to any extreme. Radio people make fun of people being dumped all the time too, unfortunately sometimes the dumped party seeks retribution and goes and kills their former lover so should we not make fun of people being dumped too?. I know it is a very far stretch but this to me is not very different from what you posted about sexually abused children etc. It IS in bad taste the liner but it's pretty funny I must admit. Also consider the source, WEEi, WAAF, WRKO, now Mike, when has Entercom Boston been anything but a source of bad taste or speech that hurts some and incites others?.
Think about it it's all par for the course for them, this time it just happened to be entertaining.
