Mike McGowan on WODS!

Really good to hear Mike again! Is this i permanent shift for him?

Seems like wherever I've lived or traveled around New England, I've heard Mike over the years:

WERZ 107.1 Exeter, NH back in the 80's
WKSS 95.7 Hartford-Meriden, CT mid '90's
WQSX 93.7 Lawrence, MA Early 00's
WEZN 99.9 Bridgeport, CT sometime in the 00's

I'm sure I've missed some places and dates here. Anyone with more info?

Mike has been doing weekends/fill in on WODS for quite some time now, has to be a year, maybe 2?

Mike is a friend of mine. I worked with him at KC 101 in New Haven in the early 90's.

He also did middays on Jamn in the mid-90s. For a while, he simultaneously did nights at WTIC-FM in Hartford.

I might be mistaken, but have I heard his voice on WMAS/Springfield?

Yes Mike worked weekends at WMAS a few years back. He's now Sat. 10a to 2p on WODS and Sun. 2p to 7p and also does Sat. on on MIX 104.1! Thanks to him for getting me the part time gig at WODS!

:'( He used to hang up on me when he was on "Star 93.7" When they had their Lunchtime Disco/R&B Oldschool Mix, there were a couple songs from back in the day, I used to ehar it when I was younger but forgot the name, when I used to call him, he used to hang up on me. 20 rings and it disconnected!!! :'(
One time he told me the name of the song, :-[, but it was the wrong one :'(

(Now, I know the name of it, because later on, Vinnie Paruzzi played it, when I called him, he told me the right one, he was way more helpful) Rest in peace Vinnie :'(
