Mike & Mike in the Morning

Do any of you folks ever catch "Mike & Mike in the Morning" on ESPN2, or the audio stream on the Web, since they're not on the radio here in Atlanta? They are a fantastic morning team - very entertaining! I know they are sports guys, but a lot of morning teams on music stations could learn some good lessons from these guys. They have great personalities that are very different from each other, but make for great banter between the two. They have developed terrific timing w/ each other, and both of them have a very self-deprecating sense of humor that shows they don't take themselves or their show too seriously. They also walk a good balance between focusing on their core subject (sports) and talking about other stuff, such as their families, pop culture, etc.

I certainly wish someone in town would pick them up. (Maybe 1230 or 1340, or even GST!) They are easily 10 times better than anything else I've heard during morning drive here in ATL. What do y'all think?

Syndicated morning shows never work. Bad idea to air in Atlanta market. Sports fans want local talk, especially in morning drive.

They were on the sair here several years ago on 680 the Fan. I believe they dumped them for the Arnie Spanier experment that did not last vbery long and then turned it ove to Rude and crew.
