Newcomb does early AM drive on KXXT, Phoenix.

He does a political talk show but still feels compelled to flaunt his MD because - of course - doctors know everything and we can believe everthing they tell us. Right!

KXXT, although they brand themselves as "Air America Phoenix," do not clear Riley, Maddow and Springer at all, and they delay Rhodes and Malloy to carry Schultz and Miller. They bump Garofolo to overnights. Franken is currently the only AAR program they clear live during weekday hours.

During the live feed of Newcomb, AAR schedules Politically Direct (from Norman Lear's People for the American Way) and the first hour of the Sunday re-feed of Bobby Kennedy Jr.'s Ring of Fire.

More progressive talk competition for Air America Radio and this time from someone other than Jones Radio.

At least he found other employment since his current show dies in about 3 weeks.

As of February 1, the correct term will be "did early-AM drive on KXXT Phoenix." Religious broadcasting returns to AM 1010 on that date, when Communicom takes over the station. Air America in Phoenix will be no more, at least for the short term.

It doesn't appear that Malloy is delayed to carry Miller. It shows Stephanie Miller carried beginning at 11pm mountain time, AFTER Mike Malloy.
