Mike North is leaving FSR evenings or whatever it is called

Said he had some family medical issues.
North said he will be the new fill in guy. Will work about 20 weeks out of the year. I wonder if this means no more John Fricke?
 
No wayyyyy!!! Mike North was soooo cool. He started out being on Sunday nights (John Fricke old hours)
I like the way Mr. Mike North presented himself with the callers "Hey Jimmy from Portland My Friend......" He always said "My Friend" like if it was really his friend. That is soooo cool!!!

John Fricke is sooooo cool!!! He's one of the best on there, they both are

Last week Mike North stated that his regular shift would be Sundays 10p-1am Eastern Time.

(I think he stated he will be on Saturday nights 7pm-10pm Eastern time? -I'm not sure about that one yet?)

I do know for sure he said he will be on Sunday nights
 
does it really matter who is on that network or any network anymore? Don Martin keeps getting promoted for hiring one unemployed hack after another because as he stated "lot's of good people are out of work". That's what today's radio has become. Poor JT the whatever's ego must really be bruised. Still buried overnights and they won't put him on a better shift despite shifting the deck chairs on that Titanic radio network.
 
When JT was moved to the later time shift, he said he preferred it since most of the games of the day were already done and gave fans more time to discuss the games. Now, it could possible that the move wasn't his call and he said that to save face and stay employed. That could be subject to anyone's interpretation.

I have to agree with you. They let a lot of good radiop host go. A lot of the good ones.
 
Yeah Zilla I'm sure JT's ego is bruised? 30+ hosts have been fired or not renewedat Fox since he was hired 10 years ago. You are on jealous dude. Worry about all the hacks that you support on this board who continue to get fired or wish they could host a show on 5% of Brick's stations.

Sorry to disappoint, but I am not in radio and don't really follow or admire anyone doing sports talk radio. Not Bruno, certainly not guys in the middle of the night on any local or network show. I find it interesting to see people with minions who come onto these boards with agendas to promote or to denounce folks. Used to enjoy tuning in years ago when there were some really talented people doing creative stuff, now it's the same screaming, scripted hacks who - with a few exceptions - are lucky to have jobs. I am retired and glad not to have to rely on the crappy companies who regurgitate the same "talent" as if it really matters to the Clear Channels, ESPN's or whatever other companies are trying to do sports talk. There isn't another format where zero credentials are necessary to be on the air - even at the so called network level. I remember when network talent was amazing and must listen to radio. Thank god for Pandora and Sirius Music channels. I come here for the sheer amusement, but can see it's a small group of bitter has-beens of never wuzzes.
 
Bring back Bruno. That is strange he kept saying that guy was off.
 
I think Dibble has stopped mentioning Tepper now.

Dibble is very good. I think he has good chemistry with Cates and Jake.
