Mike Rosen is exceptional talent, with lots of knowledge and great personality, I'm curious as to why I never have read anything about him in this business for 20 years prior to visiting Colorado this year?
Furthermore, why does KGO keep getting the "best talk station award." while Denver's KOA never seems to get this (although I've seen PD Kris Olinger receive awards). KOA has great hosts: Rosen, Newman, Caldera, Barber, Browne, along with exceptional am and pm drive programs. And, the local programming is 24/7 (except for Rush), just like KGO.
Seems that neurotic hosts such as Beck, Levin, and Savage keep getting thrown into syndication, yet hosts who suppress their emotions and remain calm never get the chance (such as Rosen, Ross, Owens, Rick Barber, John Caldera, etc.).
