MIKE SIEGEL, KKOL SIGNAL, KKOL SKYWAVE

Where does the Skywave take Mike Siegel during critical hours from 1300 KKOL?

Where does he land overnight during the replay?

Is KKOL at 25kW or 50kW?

Do they use all their towers at night?

Do they have a translator north of Lake Sammamish somewhere?

Is Tom Clendening the KKOL PD?

Does Bonneville need to hire Tom back in order to get things under control? :)

KOL is operating using a directional antenna daytime and nighttime that pushes their energy away from the core of Seattle. They have 50kW daytime, 47kW night. Their fight with U.S. Oil altered their proposed coverage of Seattle by quite a bit. They've attempted to use a synchronous booster to fill in the northern portion of the metro, and that project is on-going. I don't believe Tom is still with Salem, but I don't know that as a fact. I don't know where their skywave signal travels, but the signal fade is pretty extreme on Capital Hill and north post-sunset on my radio.
