Mike Stevens - WDRC-FM Story in the Courant

They couldn't even get WPLR's frequency right. 107.1 in the New Haven area is a translator for Religious/Beautiful Music WJMJ.

Of all the things you could have commented on about this story, you choose the fact that they got the station's frequency wrong?

Geez.... No wonder this board is so dull.

What can I say? I don't like Mike Stevens. In fact I haven't liked any of the morning shows on WDRC-FM since they got rid of Jerry Kristipher.

It makes a good point. If the writer of the story can't get a simple thing like 99.1 in place of 107.1, then how can you trust the rest is on the money?
He made a good point.

This board is far from Dull... At least its not the same BS that is on the Boston board, which has gone wayyyyy out of control.

No this board is definitly dull my friend. More people concerned about DX this and transmitter that than programming and whats actually on the air.

It's a matter of opinion.

There is nothing wrong with a board that is "scandal free"
and is focused on the technical side of radio versus the programming side.
This board actually has both to boot!

What's happening on the Boston board is a running joke.

I hate to say it, but I agree with the criticism. It shows that she did very little fact-checking on the article, and to me it discredits the article somewhat.

It would be like a sports writer saying Derek Jeter's number is 38 when it's 2! Wouldn't you suddenly discredit the sports article?

Sorry that people actually have interests other than simply what's on, but how it's on, etc.

If you want to talk programming, start a good programming post!

And if it's so dull, why are you still reading? ;)

I dont want scandals. I just want to be able to talk about things other than Oz begging for a job, and who has a transmitter where. I mean a ratings book passed and no one even made any specualtion around here.

Right because no one here has access that information.
The only information given on the net is the meaningless 12+
numbers which you can't accuratley speculate on.

For someone who found fault with the Hartford Courant article, look at your own post...its KRISTAFER...has been for 30 years, since his first go round in New Haven
