Mike Taylor just might be the most....

Mike Taylor sucks and so does Brazeale, who only got his job because his dad Bob Branson works for 1200.

I agree, but Peter Burns in the morning takes sucking to a whole 'nother level. He can't string 2 sentences together without a drawn-out "uhhhh" in between, and the sentences sandwiched around the uhhhs are some of the most garbled, non-sensical statements I've ever heard (count how many times he peppers his takes for no reason with the default phrases "out there," "goes out there, or "right there"...it's mind-boggling).

On top of that, he's a prototypical D-bag who struts around town like he's S.A.'s most eligible bachelor, when in reality he's becoming the joke of the town thanks to all of his name dropping and self-aggrandizement.

Mike Taylor's sidekick/producer, Jim Bob Breazeale.

I am not defending anyone nor am I throwing punches at facetheslayer here, however there is just something about someone who creates another radio-info account just to anonymously bash other people? Why didnt you just make those same comments on your normal radio-info account? you cannot say you did not do that because it is not very logical for you to be a new member and just so happens you dedicate 2 of your 4 total post on this topic. both of which were negative towards people who work for 760am.

also judging from your other posting that you are either...

A) a disgruntled ex employee
B) work for ESPN since you display such displeasure with 760AM personnel.

some friendly advice facetheslayer....

the ladder in this business goes up and down. no matter if you are a full time on air personality or a van driver with great hopes and dreams to make it one day on the radio, do not burn bridges. the same people you see going up the ladder of success, will most likely still be watching as you climb your way back down.

Just saying...

First of all, I have never worked in the radio biz, and have never had any connection whatsoever to Clear Channel, its on-air hosts, or any other broadcasting company. I do, however, listen to a lot of sports talk radio, and as a long-time listener of KTKR I just wanted to throw my two cents' worth into this thread.

Second, the impetus for creating my radio-info.com account this time around was to respond to the JT the Brick thread over in the Sports format section -- not to rip on KTKR, as you assumed (check the dates/times of my posts, if you want). In fact, the main reason I was browsing these discussion boards was to read up on the scuttlebutt regarding the JT demotion/Tony B. addition at FSR. It has been several years since I have even checked out these radio-info.com boards, and you are correct in that I did have another login name back then. I tried logging in with that name, but ran into some difficulty so I simply chose a new user name. My first post was in the JT thread, and when I meandered over here to the San Antonio discussion, I felt compelled to chime in regarding the KTKR hosts.

If you disagree with my opinions, more power to ya. But please keep in mind that there is no bias or hidden agenda behind my posts. I just happen to think that most of KTKR's local product is extremely subpar, and it is disappointing that portions of quality FSR shows like Czaban, and Petros and Money, are getting pre-empted in favor of garbage like Peter Burns and the Sports Grind.

as a listener you are certainly entitled to your opinions. glad u cleared that up because i have seen it many times. jocks or radio personnel creating alias's to cowardly bash people anonymously.

i wish more non radio people would visit these boards.

We do, but you experts just seem to ignore us most of the time. I also do not and have never worked for a media company, but have worked for companies that, at one time, manufactured their equipment. I listen to a lot of radio and have listened to radio in "real" cities. What we have here locally is comparable to a radio station on "Green Acres".
Lately, I find myself listening more and more to KRLD, KTRH and shortwave, due to the poor quality of our local product, eventhough I am based here in this quaint little tourist trap. Our local radio does stink and not just the sports/talk shows, but all of it. Why do you think Mr Big Market was banished to the fifth largest backwater in the country? Who took his place in Big D?
