Mike Taylor's Future at KTKR

Jeanne Jakle's column noted a couple of weeks ago that the mother of his children is relocating to Green Bay and both he and his PD were unavailable for comment. I'll guess that he's moving closer to Green Bay.

If true, at least he can say he actually left CC after several years on his volition (and around the time when so many CC employees don't, I might add)...

Since CC is one of the champions of voice tracking and remote hosts why doesn't he just move to Green Bay and continue on the air at KTKR? It's not like anyone would notice anyway.....

In fact, that's exactly what's going to happen. He announced that starting in January, he'll be doing his show via ISDN from Green Bay, and move to 6-9 AM in morning drive. Taylor explained that KTKR preferred a local host for their afternoon program for remotes, etc. but rather than let him go, they moved his airshift to mornings.

Now that we know Mike Taylor's future, what about the futures of Jim Rome, Andy Everett and Walter Pasacrita there?

Andy and Walter are being displaced by Taylor's AM show.

Jim Rome is moving his show to CBS. KTKR is not on the list of stations that will be carrying it at http://jimromestations.com.
