Mike Tirico (ESPN)

Is it true that Mike will not be back calling college football games this year? My cousin said he heard something about it, but couldn't confirm that it was true. If it's true, then that's too bad. I think he's a great broadcaster and Thursday nights won't be the same without him.<P ID="signature">______________

Lee Corso is the one that will not be returning to Thursday Night Football. He announced the decision in a USA Today interview a couple of months ago. His "day job" at a pencil company (seriously) takes too much of a backseat in the fall. He will be a part of the Thursday pregame show via satellite from his home.

The Thursday Night team will be Mike Tirico (with the exception of two dates that conflict with his ABC golf schedule), Kirk Herbstreit and Jill Arrington.

Corso will continue to be live on location on "College Gameday" each Saturday in the fall with Chris Fowler, Herbstreit, Rocket Ishmial and Arrington.
