Mike Webb's body found- is it true?

Friend from Seattle just called and said SPD announced tonight that they've found Mike's body. Cannot find anything confirming this online-

Anyone have any info? Thanks so much-

Wait a freaking minute-

a highly visible public figure, someone who was on the city's biggest radio station for a decade, is reported missing in April. Almost 2 months go by during which time his residence is entered by his landlord or the police or both. Whoever checked the residence spent enough time inside to be able to determine that specific personal items had not been taken, items which Mike pre4sumably WOULD have taken had he planned to leave. But somehow- somehow- no one noticed a decomposing corpse in the house?!

are you kidding?

You raise some interesting concerns....but Seattle PI reporting this morning that it was found in a crawl space about 3' off ground, under a tarp, with boxes on top of it...apparently a couple "unusual" items next to body.

So guess it comes down to how much suspicion they had at the time of the seach as to whether it was worth tearing the place apart or if they just looked room-to-room to see if it was going to solve the "missing person" case.

Much more to be revealed today from Medical Examiner, etc. ... we'll keep you posted from up here in Seattle, or check TV sites as they are treating this as today's major story.

This is very sad news. I worked with Mike years ago and he was a good guy. I don't know what happened with him in later years, but I remember a very funny guy with a great radio presence. He had a voice for radio and a great sense of humor. It was sad to see things unfold for him in later years.

Saw the same article.

That description of the scene sounds real fishy.

Well, since this is Seattle, and it's a SP city, it must have been done by the hand of George Bush

I was wondering how long it would be before the [EDIT] would start posting rude remarks. Not long. BigBadMoo....perhaps someone will say something just as rude, insensitive and unfunny when you die. I wonder how your loved ones would feel.
Let's just hope that you don't die in such a gruesome and vicious manner in which Mike did.

No question that what we know about the circumstances so far are tragic. But I have to say one thing.

Obviously, you didn't know Mike Webb. If you knew him, there's a good chance he would have said the same thing himself.

AQH,

Yer right.

I worked with Mike and when he was "on his game" he certainly could pour on the caustic wit.

It's a tragedy so we grieve and then life goes on.
Let's hope SPD can sort this mess out and nail the guilty party (s).
