MIKE's getting nuttin' for Christmas

So what's the general consensus about whether or not MIKE will play any Christmas music? I haven't heard any yet. The format itself is not really old enough so that I assume no precedents have been set in other markets when it comes to variety stations around the holidays. On the one hand, if they don't play some holiday music eventually they don't really play everything...but they don't play classical or opera music either so that theory really doesn't hold water. Personally with the supposed unpredictability of the format being the main selling point & Christmas music becoming more & more prevalent everywhere else as we approach 12/25 I don't think they will play any.

Mike played a smattering of Christmas songs yesterday, among them the usual favorites by the Boss and John Mellencamp. While Entercom may be misreading the market with the format as a whole, even they're not so clueless as to not play any Christmas titles at all.
