MILLER COMMUNICATIONS

Does anyone frequently listen to Power 99.3 out of Florence? I think this is Miller's best work yet. They have been on the air for 7 or 8 months now and they have a tight, upbeat, and fun playlist and feel. This station reminds me of the old Mix 94.7 when it was a Sumter Top 40 station. In my opinion, I think Miller should dump Bad Dog 93.9 in Columbia and light up the Power format. Bad Dog is doing nothing here and I think a Rhythmic Top 40 in Cola would spice things up a bit, if not, at least an upbeat, fun station to listen to. I know their signal isn't up to par as say WHXT, WXBT, but it's still listenable. What does everyone think?

I agree Cat Daddy is doing a great job with the station.

Flipping WIGL to Urban might bring him bigger numbers than Bad Dog is doing now. Not so much because of listeners in Columbia proper, but from the Western and more rural areas of Lexington/Saluda/Orangeburg.

WIGL simply does not have the oooph to make any inroads into Columbia.

I can't pick up 99.3 out of Florence but 93.9 comes in fairly well. Speaking of "oomph," the 93.9 signal seems to have no crisp highs and no rich bass...just mid-frequencies. Almost sounds like AM on FM. Anybody know what gives?
