"Million Dollar Money Drop" on Fox

Hopefully other networks will see Fox as successful with Money Drop and wish to go the gameshow route as well.

Good point about the color of money. It's a show that would grab the Deal or no deal fan without question, I'm sure. However, those who enjoy some trivia involvement will still prefer Money Drop, should the two shows air at the same time.

Middling ratings probably aren't going to do much. NBC has it's utility player of a game, and ABC seems content with Wipeout in summers; how the winter specials do remain to be seen. CBS has about zero need for a game at the present time.

The networks seem about as interested in game shows as they are likely to get, unless someone comes up with a blockbuster all of a sudden.

If NBC were still with Universal, I would encourage any evening game show that requires ten stars from (Universal) movies to be present. That way they can all speak highly of the movies they're starring in and people with PVRs will honestly think they'd miss something if they fast forward.

1 vs. 100, Hollywood Squares, Match game, Family Feud celebrity edition...or something fresh and new that just might get both ratings and the message delivered about what (Universal) movie to go see.

The idea is still good to encourage, but with tv stars this time.

@Sounds&sports:

I was finally able to see that show you mentioned on YouTube, "How Much Is Enough?" The premise is somewhat similar, but like some game shows, the regular rounds are more exciting than the anti-climactic final. I still have a hard time understanding the point of the final round....you could easily win with $1.

Just a note about "Wipeout"--they have shown Santa Claus in their ads even though it doesn't start until January 6. This is acceptable if you remember Orthodox Christians celebrate on January 7, so that's Christams Eve for them. And it's Christmas Day for Armenian Apostolics.
