Milt won't return to WGN following programming changes

Here is the new programming lineup, as posted on wgnradio.com earlier today

12-1 a.m. Turi Ryder
1-6 a.m. Bill Leff
6-10 a.m. Jonathon Brandmeier
10-12 p.m. Mike McConnell
12-1 p.m. The Noon Show with Carol Roth
1-3 p.m. Mike McConnell
3-7 p.m. Garry Meier
7-10 p.m. WGN Sports Night
10-12 a.m. Turi Ryder
 
I hope WGN keeps the podcasts of the old Ex-720 shows on its website. I have a lot more to listen too.
 
It may be best to download them now. You never know... here today, gone tomorrow!
 
WGN has to change with the times. They can't be the same station they were back in the 60's and 70's. Those days are gone and so is the audience. Milt had a great run, and now it is time to shuffle the deck. As good as even Steve and Johnnie were, again it was time for change. I would call it updaitng the station. Gerry Myer has a great following and will continue to do great in his time slot to reach the yonger crowd or even the ones who listened to him on The Loop. Milt will be a great fill in host now. Glad he still will be a part of the station.
 
I grew up on Milt. I'll miss him, but he is clearly aging. He had a great run!

With six hours of Mike McConnell each day, not sure I will hang around WGN any longer... that guy is..... BAD. I may have to move to podcasts exclusively, now.
 
McConnell isn't on for 6 hours a day. He's on for 4 hours (as he was when he started at WGN). His new schedule is 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.

They left WGN just over a year ago. Not sure what they're doing nowadays.
