Radio personality Reitman to wrap up 40 years on air

Bob Reitman, one of Milwaukee radio's signature voices, said Monday that he'll be ending four decades in front of the microphone in mid-December.

The 64-year-old Reitman announced his impending retirement during his WKTI-FM (94.5) morning show, surrounded by longtime co-host Gene Mueller, more recent co-host Amy Taylor and the show's veteran producer, Gino Salomone. The studio was crowded with show regulars. Just outside was Reitman's wife, Nancy, who'd come down to the station to witness the event.

"Don't screw this up," was the off-the-air crack from Mueller, who joined Reitman on the morning show in 1982.
